October 15 is right around the corner, which means Medicare’s Annual Election Period (AEP), also referred to as Medicare open enrollment, starts and runs through December 7.

‍
Now is THE time to review your coverage, paying special attention to what is changing for the year ahead. Even if your current plan has worked well for you, it’s worth your time to be certain that what worked for you in the past will work for you in the future and still fits your needs.

‍
…because Medicare plans can change from year to year, and they often do! This can include premiums, deductibles, copays, provider networks, covered services, prescription formularies, and pharmacy participation.

‍
Don’t be caught off guard. Consider taking a few minutes over the next few weeks to review your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letter, which was sent out in September. Your health and peace of mind depend on it, as well as your budget!

‍
Healthcare is even more important during retirement. Preparing and planning for retirement almost always involves Medicare. More often than not, the best thing you can do is ask the experts! Write your questions down, pick up the phone, and get the answers. You don’t need to lose sleep, guess, or stress! You just need the right person at the right time to support you.

‍
That’s why our Medicare BackOffice is such a valuable part of our practice: a trusted resource regarding EVERYTHING Medicare.
